Painting on Plywood

 Hello!

Today I painted this lady on a piece of 1/2 inch plywood. It measures about 3 x 8 in. I used watercolors for the face except for the black and acrylics for the rest. I like the way the wood shows through on the face. It absorbed the watercolors and the sealer which made some cool distressed looking lies in it. I really like the way the whole thing looks a little crackled from the wood.
My Dad cut out a whole bunch of pieces for me and I can't wait to make some more!  thanks Dad!

Thanks for looking:)

My Art Room FINISHED!

Hello!
We decided to replace all of the carpet in the house with laminate so I figured what better time to get organized and clean the garage out! I have had the giant map dresser and book case sitting in my garage forever! I was able to fit 95% of my rubber stamps in the new dresser and that saved me a ton of space. I was able to get rid of a lot of clutter. The paint color alone was worth all the time it took to move my stuff out. It took me a week to get it all out! It took me over a week to get it all back in.
Now I have a garage full of stuff to find new homes for:)

STEAMPUNK postcard

Hello!
I host a postcard swap on Creative Souls and this is the card I made for my partner Becky. I used the artchix background, Tim Holtz washi tape and film strip, acetate butterfly wings, vellum clock, watch parts, a clock face stencil, necklace chain and an image from one of my vintage postcards. Most of this was just cut and pasted, a little glossy accents and chalk.
Thanks for looking!
